Nutritional counseling is available to patients who undergo chemotherapy or radiation therapy and is provided by a registered dietician. The service includes:

  • Managing nutrition related side effects resulting from the therapy such as weight loss, loss of appetite, diarrhea, difficulty swallowing or change in taste
  • Use of the right foods for healing purposes
  • Maintaining health eating habits after therapy
  • Providing a nutrition follow-up, when needed, throughout the course of the treatment
  • Providing cooking demonstrations to patients and their families
  • Providing community-education programs
