Dr. Kruger moved to Sharon, CT with his family in 1983. In 1995, he merged his Oncology practice with Northwestern Connecticut Oncology & Hematology Associates and has enjoyed and benefited from practicing with the finest group of professionals of his career. He and his wife and their four children have made Litchfield County their home and have engaged in its many and varied activities throughout the years.
Dr. Kruger earned his undergraduate degree from Manhattan College, Bronx, NY with a Bachelor of Science, Mathematics. He remained in his native New York and completed his Doctor of Medicine degree from Downstate Medical Center, S. U. N. Y., Brooklyn, NY. For his Straight Medical Internship and Medical Residency, Dr. Kruger sought training at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center, New York, NY. Dr. Kruger completed his Clinical and Research Fellowship in the Division of Hematology-Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Choosing to serve his country after medical training, Dr. Kruger served as a Major in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Malcolm Grow USAF Medical Center, Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, DC, and at Clark USAF Base, Philippines.
Dr. Kruger sees patients in Sharon and Torrington. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and is licensed to practice medicine in the states of New York and Connecticut. His patients benefit from his participation in Phase II, III and IV pharmaceutical and cooperative group Oncology and Hematology clinical trials.
